The Heimat Textil deck hat, a classic skull cap, was originally designed for sailors and fisherman, being later adopted by mountaineers. The mountaineers wore these hats to protect there heads from small stones falling above them and to be able to hear the others in their party. This hat was made from 100% virgin wool in Germany, with 5cm double fold to give you extra length when needed. We worked closely with Christian from Heimat to develop this exclusive version of the Deck Hat, a vintage inspired, Kelly Green beauty that pays homage to our beloved Birds.
