Inspired by a turn of the 20th century, French denim shirt from the brand's archive, the Marc shirt features a button through placket, pointed back yoke, and triple needle topstitch. The shirt is sewn from a specially developed check fabric woven from sappanwood and iron dyed Kala cotton. A rain-fed crop, untouched by pesticides and naturally organic, Kala cotton is indigenous to the Kutch region of India. Knitting this short fibered cotton is a labor intensive handwoven process. The end result is a beautiful fabric that is uniquely textured and soft to the skin.
