The 2966 is built from Red Wing's luxurious Black Klondike leather, a veg-tan leather with a brown core and black finish. With wear, this teacore leather has a black finish that wears down to reveal the brown interior. The 2966's are finished with nickel hardware and Red Wing's Neoprene Gro-Cord sole, an oil resistant sole that's been in the Red Wing lineup for over 60 years.
